Head to the valley, and beat the traffic to get an early morning parking space (which you can keep all day) and hike to the top of Half Dome or Vernal and Nevada Falls, or float down the Merced River in your rented rubber raft. Ride a horse or rent a bike and cruise Yosemite Valley on your way to lunch or dinner at the Ahwanee Hotel.
