ACTIVITY & PARK INFORMATION

Head to the valley, and beat the traffic to get an early morning parking space (which you can keep all day) and hike to the top of Half Dome or Vernal and Nevada Falls, or float down the Merced River in your rented rubber raft. Ride a horse or rent a bike and cruise Yosemite Valley on your way to lunch or dinner at the Ahwanee Hotel.

Follow these links for specific areas and services:

Yosemite National Park      Stanislaus National Forest       Sierra National Forest      Bureau of Land Management

Or stay local and luxuriate in your own artistic hideaway, decorated with local history and designed with relaxation in mind. Full kitchens and lovely decks, porches overlooking flower gardens and lawns, and river views that afford indoor or outdoor dining spaces with complete privacy. We’ve got sound systems and lots of movies. Spend time at our riverside swimming spot. Explore the forest and the river. Catch trout during fishing season, see Indian grinding rocks and hike to hidden waterfalls most tourists never see. Want to see a gold mine? We'll tell you how to get there. Visit Historic Rainbow Pools, just 5 minutes away, and jump off 20-30 foot rock cliffs into the South Fork of the Tuolumne River.

Night Life: Visit California's oldest saloon, built in 1852, 20 minutes away in Groveland. Do not miss this classic american historical place. Check our Food/Entertainment link for the best night life in town at The Iron Door Saloon.
